SWACHHATA PAKHWADA - 2023

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister on 2nd October 2014 has been a transformative initiative to make India clean, green and healthy. Over the years, the Abhiyan has taken the shape of a people’s movement and has become a true ‘Jan Andolan’. It has created a favourable atmosphere for all section of the society to realize the importance of cleanliness and hygiene for a healthy living, theregby enabling them to contribute effectively to the country’s development.

The idea of ‘Swachh Bharat’ galvanized the whole country, and the Ministry of Jal Shakti took series of initiatives towards spreading the message of Swachhta. An important step in this direction is observance of an institutional mechanism of “Swachhta Pakhwada.” We are pleased to share that this year , the Ministry Jal Shakti, Govt. of India is observing Swachhta Pakhwada from 1-15 September 2023 with immense enthusiasm. This year pakhwada focused on both drinking water and sanitation. Significant activities would be undertaken by the Ministry, its attached offices during the fortnight to reach a wide spectrum of people across the country and to create citizen centric infrastructure.

We warmly congratulate all those who have contributed to the success of the campaign and urge each one of you to continue with your efforts and fulfil the dream of our Hon’ble Prime Minister of making Swachh Bharat a reality.





REPORT ON SWACHHTA PAKHWADA - 2023

On 04-09-2023, School observed Swachhta Pakhwada-2023. In the morning assembly, A pledge on Swachhta was conducted by the students and the staff members.The students were encouraged not to litter and to dispose of the garbage properly and wisely, by our school Principal.They were told the hazards of using plastic items and were motivated to spread awareness to avoid using plastic bags.They also pledged to segregate biodegradable and non biodegradable wastes so as to make their surroundings clean and green.

Swachhata Awareness Day the students/teachers from grade IX to XII participated in a talk to celebrate swachhata awareness day on 05-09-2023 the importance of health and hygiene was discussed by teachers in their respective classes to reaffirm their faith in cleanliness towards the school, city, country or wherever they go. It should be a habit which would ensure better, cleaner and healthier tomorrow.

School conducted suggested activities for the students of grade IV-VIII such as;

Painting Competition was held for the students of grade VIII on 06-09-2023, they beautifully coloured their innovative and creative thoughts on "cleanliness & hygiene practices"

Essay Writing Competition was conducted for the students of grade VII on 07.09.2023 and the topic was ‘Cleanliness and Hygiene practices in the school’. All the students penned down their innovative ideas through which they conveyed their commitment towards the betterment of drinking water and sanitation.

Slogan Writing Competition was held on 08-09-2023 for the students of grade VI. Students presented colourful and catchy slogans and also spread awareness among students to keep our surroundings neat and clean to live a healthy life and also to stay away from diseases.

Quiz Competition was organised on 11-09-2023 for the students of grade V regarding the campaign a questionnaire was framed on cleanliness and hygiene practices. All the students actively participated in this contest.

Poem Writing was held on 12-09-2023 for the students of grade IV our lil toddlers penned down their innovative thoughts in the form of verses.

Hand Wash Day was organised on 13-09-023 for the preparatory wing. The teachers stressed on the habit of washing hands with soap at critical points during the day. They were encouraged to use hand sanitizers in school before and after meal.

Best Out of Waste Competition was held on 15-09-2023 for the students of grade XI-XII. All the students utilised waste material appropriately and they took part in this activity very enthusiastically.

The best three participants in all the activities were selected from each class and were awarded with merit certificates by the Vice Principal & Principal. It marked the end of the swachhata Pakhwada -2023 campaign an initiative by the ministry of Jal Shakti and the Govt. of India which enlisted various activities to promote health and hygiene practices in the schools.The students were encouraged to make this drive a success to push them to achieve the common goal of a clean and green India.
